I’m currently a South African au pair in the Netherlands, experimenting with photography. I finished my degree in Communication at the Northwest University in Potchefstroom, South Africa in 2008. So now I’m trying to save money to do an honours degree in Art History in 2010.

So the clock keeps ticking.

Isn't life funny? It seems that the less time you have on your hands, the more you want and need to do...

I've reached a point where I can literally start counting down the weeks - 5 and a half, to be exact - to my return to sunny (hopefully by then) South Africa.

Having some mixed feelings about whether I'm excited, happy, sad, miserable or whatever, but one thing is certain: I've never been as determined to make the most of my time here, and getting myself ready for the year that lies ahead.

As always, thank you for taking the time to appreciate my attempts at photography. It means so much to read your comments. For each of you taking the time to look, thank you!
